Tuna

Sea Fresh is one of the leading manufacturers of tuna products. The company works closely in its tuna fishing activities with fishermen and processors in Sri Lanka in particular. Eighty percent of yellowfin tuna in Europe comes from Sri Lanka and the nearby Maldives. In Sri Lanka Sea Fresh possesses its own processing company, Northwest Fishery. The tuna is bought from the long-line fleet and processed straight away at the BRC-certified Northwest Fishery.

In conjunction with the Worldwide Fund for Nature, Sea Fresh has begun the process to obtain MSC-certification for line-caught tuna in the Philippines.
